Bake Sale and Catholic Schools Week

Bake Sale and Catholic Schools Week

bake sale The first graders are preparing to bring in some delicious goodies for their Stewardship Bake Sale tomorrow! Please remember to bring your quarters so that you are able to purchase something good to eat! We also have some kind-hearted second grade students who have been working hard creating rubberband bracelets and rings to sell to help the first graders earn money for their charity. Thank you all for your kindness and support!

Box tops The Box Tops Winter Collection is in progress and the students are doing a great job! The snowman is almost to second base! Keep bringing in those Box Tops and see if we can earn a school-wide silly sock and hat day! Ask your friends and family to help you collect your Box Tops! Thank you all!

Catholic Schools Week logo We are looking forward to our upcoming celebration of Catholic Schools Week. Please click on the following link for more details: Catholic Schools Week 2016 – St. Mary Cathedral School It begins with students wearing uniforms to Mass this Sunday at all parishes, and students reading and offering the gifts at all St. Mary Masses. After Sunday Mass, you are encouraged to enjoy the Multicultural Fair at Central Catholic from 3:00 – 6:00. Thank you to Mrs. Jenny Haro for working so hard on this event!

Many of you may remember when two of our St. Mary alumni and LCSS students, Claire and Patrick Mackey passed away from cancer. Joe and Tami Mackey have worked tirelessly to create the Mackey Children’s Cancer Foundation. LCSS has chosen to raise money for this foundation during Catholic Schools Week with our “Change for Change” donation drive. Please take a look at the following video for more information about the Mackey Children’s Cancer Foundation so you better understand how our change will help children fighting serious illness. Thank you for helping us to support this important cause.
