Our LCSS Uniform Code states that shorts may be worn August and September, but with the expected heat wave this week, we will extend the shorts season through October 4th! This Friday all are invited to join us for our all school Mass on Friday, 10/4, at 8:15 a.m. as we celebrate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. He is remembered for his love of animals and people. Fr. Petan will offer a Pet Blessing after Mass (about 9:00 a.m.) on the “grassy area” off of Columbia and 13th street. Families are welcome to bring their pets for a special blessing, or students may bring a picture of their pet if their family is not able to attend.
Grades 1 and 3 will be walking to the Civic Theatre on Friday, 10/4, to enjoy watching “The Phantom Tollbooth”. The Phantom Tollbooth One of our third grade students, Mary Schweiss, is in the production, and it is directed by our very own first grade teacher, Mrs. Bosma!
