We are celebrating Red Ribbon Week this week! The students are pledging to stay away from drugs that can hurt them, and Mrs. Cooley has taught several lessons about the importance of taking good care of our bodies.
- Thursday (10/27) the students may wear mismatched clothing on this fun spirit day that reminds us “Don’t Let Drugs Mix You Up!”.
- Friday (10/28) we have an all school Mass so students will be in their official uniform with the white blouse or shirt. Our theme for this day is “Cuddle Up to a Drug Free Life!”. Students may bring a favorite stuffed animal from home to spend the day at school with them.
We are so proud of Justice Walden! She won the Red Ribbon Week Bookmark Contest! Her design was chosen for the bookmarks that will be shared with the students at St. Mary, and she was also invited to the special Red Ribbon Breakfast on Monday. Great job, Justice!
This Friday (10/28) the PTO is sponsoring a “Trunk or Treat” event in the Central Catholic parking lot from 5:00 – 8:00. Come and enjoy seeing all the little ghosts and goblins and conversing with the families of your child’s classmates!
The PTO meeting scheduled for next Thursday (11/3) has been cancelled. Thanks to all who have contributed to the PTO Donation Drive. The donation drive ends on October 31. If you have not submitted a contribution yet, please consider doing so. Donations support a wide-variety of activities including educational materials for both St. Mary and St. Boniface. Prayers for a successful drive are much appreciated! That is an important way to be involved, too! We appreciate your generosity and participation. Our Veteran’s Day celebration will be on Friday (11/11). Veterans will be invited to join us for our all school Mass at 8:15 and then meet in the Bishop’s Memorial Hall for refreshments and a short performance. Information is coming home today. If you are new to our school, or have never sent in a picture of a special veteran, we would enjoy adding your picture to our slide show! Please send in the pictures with your family name on the back so we can return them. Thank you.
Many thanks to Loan LyPham-Ferry for coordinating the sale of our “Spirit Wear”. Order forms are coming home in today’s folder. They are due no later than November 14th for those interested in ordering.
Thanks to Lindsey Jones and Lindsey Bogan for coordinating the Scholastic Book Fair during the week of November 14 – 18! For those who are interested in helping, we are collecting for the “All for Books” program next week (10/31-11/4) to help raise funds for our school library.
