Happy second week of Advent! Many thanks to Miss Thieme’s first graders who did a wonderful job leading our prayer service this morning! This week we are working on the virtue of Peace that supports our Gospel Value of Humility and Understanding. Students do their best to practice the virtue each week and are recognized at the Monday morning assemblies. It is our hope that the peace of the Advent season will be present in all homes and in all hearts as we prepare for the coming of Jesus.
The all school Mass this week will be on Thursday, Dec. 8th. Mrs. Gothard’s third graders are preparing and leading this Mass as we celebrate the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. We will have our hot dog lunch on this day, but all students will wear their official uniform with the white shirt and crest for Mass. All are welcome to join us for Mass at 8:15.
Our “Spirit Day” will be on Friday, Dec. 9th this week. Students may wear clothing other than their uniform.
The Jubilee Christmas will take place this Saturday, Dec. 10th, at St. Mary. Many thanks to all who have donated socks and underwear for children in need. If you would still like to donate, we will gratefully accept items through Wednesday, Dec. 7th.
Please remember to turn in the form to sign up for the “Kids Knight In, Parents Knight Out” by Wednesday, Dec. 7th if you are interested. You may find the form by clicking on the following link: cheer-kids-knight-out-2016
The Education Fair will be taking place on Feb. 18th at St. Boniface School this year. This is an optional opportunity for our students to learn about something that interests them. They will work on this project with parents, present it to the judges, and bring it to school to share with their classmates if they like. It is fun to see all of the learning that takes place with the Education Fair! Please read the information on the following form and, if interested, turn it in by Jan. 25th. educ-fair-16-17-1
